Avon East Elementary School

My children have all attended Avon schools, and still do. My youngest child had problems with the principle when he was in the1st grade. She told him he was going to grow up to be a janitor if he kept behaving like he was( talking in class!!) Long story short, my son got to the point where he did not want to go to school because he suffered such anxiety it made him sick! I tried to address it with her [principle], but she is rude and unprofessional. She should NOT be allowed to work with children. I took my son out of Avon schools and put him in another district where he thrived! I went to the school board too with no success. My neighbor just took her 2nd grader out because of the principle. My son has returned to Avon schools after he was in the next school and is doing great! Other than that Avon has excellent schools!

the principal was very rude to my wife when she went to speak with her regarding my child. She has no diplomacy . It's unfortunate because the rest of the staff has been great.

First time for my kid going to this school, on our first day visiting the principal was terribly rude and unprofesional to me, I just hope she doesn't treat the kids like that! She needs to go! Every time I see her she's in a bad mood and eve swears in front on parents!

i would like to agree with other parents the teachers are nice and go out of their way to show how much they care about their students but the principal is unprofessional ! She needs to go !!!!!

I have to agree with the others, the teachers are great and go out of their way, but something needs to be done about the principal. She is very unprofessional and down right rude.

I love and respect every teacher at this school. Although, I have to agree with many of the people on this site, the administration, especially the principal is very unprofessionaly and down right rude. It really bothers me considering the teachers truly do go above and beyond!

I have had a phenominal experience with the 1st grade teachers in the building. They seem so professional and open to new and upcoming ideas in education. They definately go above and beyond expectation!

The administration is unfriendly and rude to most that interact with them. The challenge is with the principal herself. Great teachers though and the parents seem to be very active with the classes.

Teachers do not go above and beyond for children. Rote curriculum. Administration is adcademically inferior.
