I have a strong faith in our school. We are enjoying a renewed strength in our new Principal. Parents are heard and students are being treated fairly. Parents are always welcome to be involved in all aspects of their childs education. You are free to volunteer daily, weekly, monthly, special occasion. Family participation is encouraged throughout the school. On line grades and announcements are a help in our busy schedules. There are a number of sports, choirs, drama, and a marching band with pom poms and a flag line. Boy and Girl clubs, afterschool clubs for all ages and schedules. A quality education at a quality price. We give up a lot to send our children to this school, and we both believe it is worth it. This is the school for you if you want to be a valuable part of your childs education.

Just wanted to offer some more accurate and specific info.than the Oct.05 person wants to give.My mom is a St.A grad,as is my sister-who went on to grad.from Our Lady of the Elms H.S.,and has her Masters in Mkting from UA.My daughter and my nephews are now students at St.A's-we find the $2,200/yr.tuition to be a great bargain, esp.given the very low teacher to student ratio as well as a priceless investment in our children's futures. There are 15 students in my daughter's class this year.I am an involved parent,as are many typical Catholic school parents...I consider that to be part of the investment I choose to make,my presence ensures both my voice in my child's education,as well as knowing my child's well-being is a top priority of our outstanding teachers and the hard-working,genuinely dedicated new principal we have been blessed with.Seeing is believing, and I am a believer in St.Augustine School.

No music program other than what they sing at Mass and after school band. Teaching staff is friendly but strict. Way too much homework for 8-9 year olds sometimes up to an hour a half a night! Very focused on accelerated reader program. Needs a lot of attention by parents to help volunteer and to just help keep an eye on the way kids are disciplined, too many homework camps, time on the wall at recess ( only 1 15 minute outside time) and detentions handed out to quickly. The children are learning way above their grade levels if they hang on. Very high tuition, great education but is it worth your childs well-being?

My son spent 2 years there and excelled ever though no one thought he would. He loved his teachers and the environment. He is now in college and I wanted to say thank you to everyone there.

I have attended this school for eight years, and I have to say that it is has been a great experience. If anyone is to ever read this when they are considering enrolling their child in St. Augustine, please read further. Our school has a great principal, great teachers, great after-school activities and a great educational opportunity, in addition to a strong faith element. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a Catholic to enroll here! In short, this is a great school, and we hope to see your children here!
