Teachers really go above and beyond, Barnesville is heads and tails above the rest in the valley. The administration is a bit odd, but the staff makes it work.

It is awful. My child received a C in reading at the end of year, but yet when we received state achievement tests results, she was not at grade level. It was the same in math. I feel my daughter has dyslexia (a learning disorder). She shows many signs of it, yet the teachers don't know the symptoms or don't want to help daughter. She comes home extremely depressed almost every day. She just needs help. If you can, don't send your child to Barnesville Schools.

I think Barnesville schools are good. The teachers are careing. I have a boy in Mrs. Sells kindergarten and we think she is wonderful she patient and careing. She lets you know what they are doing and how they are doing. The school is having funding problems and they are cutting back on extra activities. They did just build a new middle school and renovated the elementary and high school. They do have some room to improve in some areas but overall i think they do well.

This school is not one to put your children in because of the low quality of the teachers and involment with the students. My child attends but is angry when he returns because he is singled out not by the students but by the teacher.
