I cannot say enough about this wonderful school, I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful school for my son. Entering his kindergarten year he was already reading chapter books, I was very concerned that he would not be challenged in public school. A friend told me about DHMS and from the moment I entered the school and met his teacher I knew that I had found the place for him. The school is dedicated to teaching to the individual child, not everyone having to learn the same thing, and to every aspect of each child. My son has learned how to socialize with his peers, which he had a hard time with, and also was able to learn Roman Numerals to 100 with the guidance of his wonderful teachers. I am so happy for my son, to see the excitement on in face, the love of going to school each day, I cannot thank his teachers enough.

Love everything about Discovery House Montessori. Our son attended three years and is now in a Beavercreek public school. He was leaps and bounds ahead of his peers and I thank his teachers at Discovery House for a great academic start.

It is the end of the school year and my children are sad already, they won't be going to school for a few months. I love the fact that my children are sad because they are not going to school and that they have learned so much this year. I love this school and so do my children.

My daughter has attended DHMS for three years and they have not had any children leave this school this year so I am not sure who these people are that are writing these comments. I love this school and my daughter loves this school, she is in kindergarten and can read beautifully, she will attend the elementary class in the fall.

A waste of time and LOTS of money. The school is basically daycare with little educational emphasis. Public school would be a better deal especially if you are in the Beavercreek school district.

This is a rating specific to the elementary classroom. The teachers are inexperienced and poor communicators. I agree with previous parents about their children being behind academically. The montessori method is wonderful in theory but realistically you need to think about state standards. There are much better private schools in the area.

My two daughters attend this school, one in the preschool and one in the elementary, I could not be more pleased. We are moving to another state at the end of this school year and we are so sad to leave such a great school:(

my children lost their time and we lost our money by sending our children to this school. They were behind in reading and math while in this montessori. I'm surprised at the 4 star rating, makes me question the whole idea of following reviews and ratings! the upstairs pre-k and K are fine but the elementary downstairs is a waste of time and money.

Our family relocated to Ohio last year and we were very concerned about the education of our children in the public schools. After much research we found this wonderful school, we could not be happier.

I love this school, my children attended through third grade, I never detected any odor in the building and have had any issues addressed promptly. This past year the administrator was absent because her parents that lived in California both passed within 35 days of each other, since she is the only surviving child she was the only person left to take care of all the arrangements, and as anyone who has lost a loved one knows the grief along with the responsibility is overwhelming. The competent staff at the school took over for the administrator during her absence and I never heard it mentioned that they felt overworked. I volunteer a lot at the school and the teachers and parents are very close, this is a community that supports one another especially during difficult times, such as the past school year for their administrator. Great school! beautiful handwritten notes!
