I believe that columbus is a great school.Although my child has had some issues with some of the students,she has done very well getting straight a's academiclly.Many other schools in our area of Cleveland,Ohio,do not have teachers as invovled personally and academiclly with my childs life I feel that anyone in the cleveland area should enroll their child into this school.Its a really great school !

I believe this school is a great school. My child is very active and the techers are very supportive. Academically, I believe us as parents must also make sure our children are doing well, but I must also say my childs techer played a huge part in informing me of my childs academic growth as well as his strengths and weaknesses. Colimbus is a great school compared to many other schools in surrounding districts

I think Columbus is an excellent school. Their campus is wonderful, their staff is wonderful, they added a new west wing to the school a couple years ago that made it even better. Columbus is full of rising stars. Excellent. I give it 5 stars. My child went there but we had to move because of the job.

In 2010-2011, the Ohio Department of Education used the Value-Added Measure to show how much growth students made on the Ohio Achievement Test since the last school year. The state expects that student test scores will show an average year's worth of growth compared to test scores from the previous year. Ohio's Value-Added Measure is not the same as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), a federal measure which uses different criteria.

About the tests


Ohio uses the Performance Index to provide an overall indication of how well students perform on its standardized tests each year. The Performance Index scores are based upon how well each student does on all tested subjects in grades 3 through 8 and 10. Schools and districts earn anywhere from 1.2 points for each student scoring at the advanced level to zero points for each untested student. The Performance Index ranges between 0 and 120, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
