Everyone knows the children and responds to them individually, rather than impersonally.
My family has been a part of Riveredge for 11 years and my youngest is starting middle school next year. We will miss all of the teachers, aides, secretaries, and it's principle Mr. Kelly. At this school everyone knows everyone; its like a family. I am so sad that this is one of the schools they will be closing.
We had to move away and when my son arrived at his new school they were extremely pleased with his reading level he was at a 2-3 for a 1st grader. He over all was very sucessful in all subject area and it was all Riveredges fault and a blame that I would be very pleased about. Mr. Kelly kepe up the good work you have a great team of teachers and we miss you all !
My son is in 1st grade and reads very well, they have good disapline system ( gold awards) and it helps parents know about his or hers daily activities and if they were naughty or nice. He is doing very well, the staff is excellent and Principal Mr. Kelley is an awsome principal and the district is so lucky to have him ! The PTA is good and tried to keep many activities going but wish they would bring back Halloween parties and stay our of politics such as school levies, it's a parents right to vote yes or no. Riveredge is a very good school, comunity minded and a great asset to the city.
Riveredge is one of Berea's hidden treasures! We didn't know the school existed until moving close to it. How blessed we were! It turned out to be a great experience for both of my children. One is now in 5th and the other is in 1st. They have had teachers who are truly interested in them as an individual and helping them succeed every step of the way! I can say the same for the principal and office staff. This is a great school all around!
