My child has not been enrolled as yet for me to give my review, but with the positive reviews of other parents i would definetly want my child to attend this school.
Our daughter is enrolled here two years ago and loves the school after her expereince in Dayton. Her teachers have been first rate and are intersted in her progress. The new principal and front office staff and most professional. Thank you Montrose for making education fu as well as worthwhile
Excellent school with a strong sense of community. Caring staff. New leadership is strong. PTO is very strong.
As a parent of several present and former student, I'm thrilled wilt the education they have or are recieving. The staff and teachers are very caring and enthusiastic in their dealing with the students. They are well prerpared for high school
This was an excellent school. Although, I wasn't an A student, I believe this school has helped me the most in excelling into Middle School. A great school indeed!
I have twins who just started Montrose this year. This school has been a tremondus blessing to our family. I love the teachers and how envolved they keep all parents. I would recommend the school to anyone.. its awesome!
Two of my three children have attended Montrose and I think it is a fantastic school. The teachers and administration are great. They care for the children above and beyond. The specials offered to the kids are fantastic and the children have many free opportunities to get involved and learn new interests and skills. Parent involvement is particularly high and the PTO is very instrumental in assisting the school with the children's needs in mind.
I was a student at Montrose for 6 years and I loved it! I would not want to go to any other school. At Montrose I really felt like the teachers cared about me a lot. When I was new they hepled me meet new friends and made the learning so much fun. I loved montrose so much I didnt want to leave.
Montrose Elementary is an exemplary school. I have found that the educators (in all disciplines, including art, music and gym) have been very aware of the diversity of their students. As a single parent, I felt that my son's family status was never an issue in the classroom. Likewise, the school made several attempts to make sure that my son's needs for academic enrichment were met. Teachers went above and beyond their required tasks and hours to make sure that my son grew as a student and a person. As Montrose encouraged and supported his participation in numerous free/inexpensive extra-curricular activities (student council, chess, safety patrol, juggling, choir and orchestra), my son has been able to meet a number of students from different grades within all three Bexley elementary schools. While excited to reach middle school, he's sad to leave Montrose - that in itself speaks volumes about the school.
My son goes to Montrose and we absolutely love this school. We moved to Bexley from elsewhere in Columbus specifically for this school district and Montrsose in particular. The teachers are caring, involved, patient, and thorough. The parent involvement is much higher than at other schools. The PTA is very organized and constantly has events and opportunities to get involved on many different levels. The music cirriculum is outstanding as is the physical education and the library. Montrose is very advanced from a technology standpoint and the children are introduced to computers at an early age, kindergarten. Both my wife and I are thrilled to have our son at Montrose and are looking forward to our 2 year old daughter going there in the future.
This school is not good for youth who are not from a high socio-economic environment or of a minority race. The level of outreach to serve and help trouble youth or youth that may learn in a different way is terrible. More specifically, this school and some of the faculty practices racism and discrimination.
Montrose has been a big disappointment to me. My child's teacher was passive in her discipline and her way of dealing with problem was to kick my child out of the school. I think that education should be accessible and equal for all and at Montrose I am afraid to say that it is not.
Montrose Elementary School provides students with one of the finest educations available in the country. The administration and faculty are well-educated and intelligent. Parents and teachers are truly invested in the students and push for success. The school consistently ranks among the top schools in the state of Ohio. There is a challenging curriculum, including elementary-level foreign languages. The arts are well-supported, and there is a multitude of extracurricular activities available. Montrose Elementary students come from many backgrounds and are pleasant, warm, and welcoming.
