I have had my children enrolled at SSMS for many years. They are both in the elementary programs today and are simply thriving in all areas - academics, music, art and life skills. The Montessori method is at the heart of the school and its core values--and it is embodied every single day in the classrooms. Each classroom has been well equipped and all my children's teachers have approach their leaning with individual, distict strategies that bring out the best while still ensuring a truly well-rounded education. Keep up the fantastic work.

SSMS is a great school. It was referred to us by our friend and we are extremely glad they did. Our son has been there for more than 4 years now and he is turning out to be a better and responsible student with each passing year. The teachers are terrific and treat each child with so much patience and respect. They truly have a great montessori curriculum with an emphasis on independent learning and world culture.

SSMS has wonderful, calm, patient teachers who have to deal with a lot of different personalities with both the children and the parents. Our daughter and son both attend SSMS and they are doing extremely well. They are kind to other children and very independent. If you want the best for your child, it will be worthwhile for you to check out this school!

SSMS has an exceptional staff and curriculum!! I am a SSMS parent with a 21/2 year old and a 5 year old in the program. The staff and curriculum at SSMS have allowed my children to be happy and successful while at the same time instilling the critical values of respect, patience, self-control, and other social graces. My time spent observing in the classrooms solidified my appreciation for the Montessori Method and SSMS adheres to the authenticity of this method. The children are engaged, yet self-directed. They are challenged, yet allowed to proceed at a pace which accommodates them intellectually, physically, and psychosocially. They are allowed independence and choice, yet learning is constructed in such a way as to ensure mastery and success. My children have excelled academically as well as psychosocially. I plan to enroll them through eighth grade!!

We could not be more pleased with the development of both our 3yr old son who has been at SSMS for 1.5yrs and our 5 yr old daughter who has been attending for 3 yrs. The excellent educators go beyond the studies and really create a community of learning. The staff is so engaged and the families are completely committed to the education of their children. SSMS is a fabulous school and worth every penny!

My daughter attended as a 3 and 4 year old and then transferred to public. We absolutely loved SSMS, but made the decision to put her in public. That was a mistake. Her kindergarten teacher commented on how polite and prepared she was for school. After a couple years in public we decided to put her back in at SSMS. She absolutely loves going to school everyday, she is independent and shows so much pride in her work. We love her teacher, who recognizes who our daughter is and treats each child in the classroom as and individual. It is amazing to see the confident child our daughter has become. We plan on keeping both our children at SSMS through eighth grade. These Montessori children have great pride in themselves, adaptability, and care for the world around them.

I think the previous poster was talking about the wrong school? There is lots of light and the snacks (which are very plentiful) don't cost any money. The rooms are also not cramped at all and include a library, a music room, and a gym as well as lots of outdoor space with hiking trails,. This is a great school with a wonderful learning environment. The teachers are extremely well educated and truly care about your children. I especially feel that the school has made great strides in the 1st through 8th grade which has more than doubled in size during the last two years I have had my daughter in the preschool.
