If you are looking for quality education for a child with dyslexia that is driven by a valid, research-based curriculum, this is the place. Part to whole, OG approach for reading. Math is taught to mastery before moving forward - using standard algorithms. Reading and math placement is individually based on YOUR child's needs and ability. Teachers are beyond wonderful. Everyone knows you and your child on a first name basis, students are kind and considerate. Previously, my son cried daily because he did not want to go to school, and had tears of frustration every night when attempting to do homework he was not appropriately taught to understand. He hated reading. Since starting at Lawrence, he LOVES school and completes homework with confidence. He is reading at grade level for the first time EVER, and although it will never be a "easy" task (compared to non-dyslexic peers), he actually enjoys reading now. I consider this the best investment I could have possibly made for my child's emotional and social well being, as well as for his future success academically and educationally. So thankful that this school exists!

My son, who did not excell in a traditional school setting, is absolutely thriving here at Lawrence! Small class size, exceptional teaching, full curriculum, remediation in needed areas, and challenges in areas of strength all work together to allow the students to shine!

Lawrence is a rich learning environment, far superior to the public school my son attended for the first 9 years of his educaiton. Here he found the excellence in teaching that all schools should provide their students.

This is an exceptional school for students with Learning Disabilities or Attention Deficits. The teachers know how to help these students grow both academically and socially. The very intelligent students really do shine here.

I went to this school for 5 years and for the time i was there it was wonderful. The teachers were awesome and I made a ton of new friends. Because of the small setting we were all like a big family. It was great. I'm going to miss it.
