The teachers are experienced and very helpful with communication. My son is on an I.E.P. and they are very helpful. He enjoys going to school. They have an anti-bullying policy. It continues being a small town school with a state excellent record. The levies have finally passed and a new school is being built in 2011.
This is a small school with a small town atmosphere. The ovwerall safety seems to be very good. The admin. has allowed 'drug dogs' in and has given an overall feeling of safety. While the new principal is very committed and helpful many of the teachers are nearing retirement age and seem to be 'tired out'. I am sure the teachers were wonderful 20 years ago and many are alumni, they are lacking young people skills and tolerance. There is a new campagn to stop 'bullying' and learn acceptance, which is a lifelong learning tool. The buildings are nearing 100 years old and the 'old timers' refuse to pass any levies. I give the school a 3 out of 5 because of teachers. I give the principal a 5 because of his strengths.
