I have nothing but great things to say about Hambden Elementary. The staff is welcoming, available, and helpful. My son came during his 1st grade year and the transition was easy. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!
Hambden is a great school and if among the best the Chardon District has to offer. I think someone did not do their homework on how much the School Board makes. Each member only makes $ 125 per meeting with a cap for the year. That does not even begin to account for the time spent working when no one sees them working.
Hambden is a good school overall. I believe that our board staff makes too much money that could be going towards our childrens education. Our teachers need more resources and finances to make our childrens education better. But what school doesnt have this issue?
Hambden Elementry is the type of school that cares about your child as an individual. It has a family atmosphere and the quality comes from the prinicipal down. It is a small school and really needs better facilities.
Our daughter received a first rate and personal education here. She is well adjusted and about to graduate from Ohio State University.
