Saint Mary school is an amazing school it lets each child learn a grow academically at their own pace. Saint Mary School teaches students like me Character traits, responsibility unlike anything that would be taught at a public school I was thinking of going to Chardon Middle School but i could not let go of what i had learned and fun i had had at Saint Mary I am in sixth grade this is my 7th year here i plan on going until my ninth. Saint Mary's offers a life long education for each student. All of the teachers are nice and respect you for who you are. They are not under-educated. Us kids at Saint Mary's learn about how to treat others and how to live in the view of God's eyes, we are the least bit self centered and respect human life does that sound self-centered? No
Our daughter has completed grades K and 1st, as well as two years of prek at this school. St.Mary's provides a warm and nuturing environment. The teachers truly go out of their way to ensure each student is learning to their potential. What is we most value is that education at St. Mary's is so much more than standardized test scores - it's about character development as well. We strongly considered the local public schools and after one visit to the local elementary school, we were confident St. Mary's was the right place for our child. If you want over-crowded conditions were the test is everything, Chardon public schools will meet your needs.
Family environment. Caring tword its families and children.
My children are excelling at St. Mary's. The teachers are dedicated to each individual child's progress. Parental involvement in the school is welcome. I am proud to send my children to this school.
My son is in the fifth grade at St. Mary. He is active in the CYO program, other community sports and Western Reserve Cub Scouts. I agree that the education is good; He has opportunities to be in the Enrichment program which gives him the extra challenges he needs. I see the teachers as average, but they really do care about each student. What I find the most beneficial is that my son feels a part of the school and a part of the parish. The school has a very active parental involvement and support system. You know everyone is working for the same goal. Getting a sense of belonging is what I would consider the highlights of the school.
This school has been great for my son, providing him not only with an academic education, but real life lessons in character building. Every time I visit the school he is greeted by name by the teaching staff and principal. The students are given individual attention. Early in the school year several of his classmates were recognized as needing either additional assistance or gifted and were directed accordingly. I love St. Mary School!
I was not pleased with this school. The staff has limited knowledge of what they are teaching . The principal is hardly that, she does nothing for the school. Not only is the staff bad the enviroment for the students is bad. Since there is a small amount of kids gonig to this school the kids are mean and self centered, also are sheltered from the outside world.
