West Geauga High School

One of the best bargains in NE Ohio! Dedicated teachers, especially in Latin (a true scholar), Computer Science, and Biology/Chemistry/Physics. Scholastic teams like Latin, Robotics, science fair, and Environmental compete and win awards because the teachers here truly care, and many are also community members. Granted, the schools need some repair, but the district does a LOT with less money.

While some of the teaching staff are just marking time until retirement, there are also some outstanding educators in this school. The Latin teacher is one of the very best in the state of Ohio and the band director is accomplishing great things. We were hoping to find programs built for the needs of gifted students. Although there is no formal plan for gifted education at the high school, the administration and staff have proven more capable and accommodating than any of several expensive private schools nearby that we investigated.

i htink west geauga is cool and all and theres nothing i would change about the staff or studen tbody but i wish the school in general was better, that the classrooms were a little nicer and that the temperature wasnt always fluctuating and that there werent so many holes in the walls. i think if we dressd it up to be a little nicer, then west g would be the perfect school.
