My teen has attended CHS for two years now. We moved here from another state due to a work transfer and we chose Chillicothe High School because of its AP and Honors courses, Orchestra, music and arts programs. Plus, as it turns out it has a fantastic Broadcasting program which no other school in the state has. While some of the kids at the school are rough, there are also some excellent students. And, while there are a few teachers that are TERRIBLE and should not be teaching, most of them are excellent. Sometimes the good students are treated like bad students, and that is unacceptable. Kids need positive reinforcement, not always negative. Lunches are too expensive probably to balance all of the free lunches they have to serve. The sports program is excellent, but too much emphasis is placed on sports than curriculum. Overall, CHS is BEST IN ROSS CO.

While this school has several good teachers that really care about the students the administration is horrible with the exception of Mr. Fisher. I think he is the best assett that administration has. There are several fights at this school in any given week. Often the wrong students get the most severe punishment. The principal and vice principal do not address discipline issues in a swift and serious manner.

I attend CHS and have for three years now, and while I don't think it's the best school in the country by any means, I do think it's the best in the county. We have wonderful music, arts, and theatre programs, as well as dozens of athletic teams. There are some teachers who don't seem to care, but most of them care a lot and work really hard to give us the best education possible.
