I rate this school as a success, and I agree with you about the elementary teachers. They do care about their students, their individual learning needs and parental concerns. Many of these teachers have children of their own in this elementary or have had children go through Zane Trace. They trust the this school district because they know first hand that it stands true to its outstanding reputation and rate of excellence.
The elementary teachers of this district are fabulous. They are caring and concerned about each and every child. These teachers go the extra mile to help the children achieve. They are friendly and are always willing to talk about the progress of your child.
Zane Trace is a great school for my children. The teachers are really there for the kids. The elementary school is the first in our county to receive an excellent rating through the state. I have to disagree with the review about the school only being about sports. My daughter does not participate in sports but has been very active acidemically. Some of her best teachers where the ones she had in third and fourth grade.
This is by the best school I have found in Ohio. My child has thrived here. All teacher's have shown concern and caring and have encouraged me as a parent and my children's father and other family members to help out and be present. To the point where we have even been invited to join our child for lunch. My daughter has extracurricular activities and has art, music and library once a week and gym twice. I have never noticed any difference between this schools sports program and any others. The kids seem proud of their sports teams but academics and safety seem to be the largest concerns here. I applaud Zane Trace at their wonderful job. Way to go!
Zane Trace Elementary is at best mediocre. Grades K-2 seem to have the best teachers that care about whether or not the students are learning. Grades 3 and 4 seem mostly to have teachers who care mostly about classroom guidelines being followed and trying to fit ALL students into the same mold of character whether or not the student learns does not seem important as long as you follow strict guidelines that most adults do not even have to conform to in the workplace. Parents are not only not involved but discouraged by staff members to be involved. Fourth grade no longer has art or music class but if you're all about sports, this school is for you.
