My daughter has been with the teachers at Wesley Taylor since she was 6 weeks old. I found them to be the cleanest, most hands-on, and knowledgeable caregivers in the Chillicothe area. From as young as 6 weeks, and on up through school age, they provide education (even for the littlest of learners) and cater to my daughters developmental milestones. I wouldn't have her anywhere else! I highly recommend her school to ANYONE looking for a quality private school education, or childcare!
I can not even begin to explain the benefits of this school. At SHA there is an oasis or knowledge, nurturing, and just phenomenal things happening every day. My son started here in Kindergarten and is just finishing 2nd grade this year. It is the best choice I have ever made, and I will keep him here no matter the sacrifice. I believe in project based education, it is more hands on and the children here just thrive, and they enjoy learning and coming to school everyday. They don't teach to the test and all the children here are accepted for who they are, and feel security, and are not influenced by the many things present in public school these days. No other school in Southern Ohio offers what Southern Hills can give to my son what he gets here. There is no comparison.
My daughter has attended SHA for five years. She is absolutely flourishing in this environment. The education that she has received thus far, could not be surpassed. She adores the school, her teachers and all of her friends. This school has taken the natural curiosity of children and utilized it to it's fullest potential. At age 8 she is already able to apply all that she has learned to the world around her and can't wait to get to school daily. Her sign language skills amaze me. The math, science, art and music classes are extraordinary. This school has given her more than a wonderful education, it has provided her with an extended family. You can see the pride in these kids' faces. If you want the best for your child, this is where you'll find it.
I have been going to SHA for awhile now and it is the best thing to happen to me. I have tons of great friends, cool teachers, and good grades. I don't think I can have this good of an education if I went to a public school in Chillicothe
The academic programs at SHA are excellent. The children are not taught to pass tests but instead are taught how to integrate all they learn with life experiences and therefore, the lessons are not forgotten. The school programs are very different from the typical school where the children memorize and never fully understand the principals behind what they are doing. The extrcurricular programs are expanding. The art class is excellent. Because the school is small music and sports are growing programs at this time. The sports programs that are in place ensure that all children can participate. Parents are involved in all aspects of their children's education. This school provides a wonderful program at very affordable tuition.
i rated this school beacause i had my best year their and it was the best.
