My granddaughter just started there last week. She's a great student who gets above average grades. Today is her 5th day and I am really upset with the school principal, who did something that she should have known better to do. I am not favorably impressed at all. I hope the parents take action. The school rating is as good as the principal, in my opinion

The staff is great and takes great pride in working with our kids! Our oldest is excelling there. He's had a great experience since he started in kindergarten. He is now moving to 3rd grade and is excited to be getting back to it, I never could say that about school when I was there! From principal Combs to the facilities staff everyone carries a great attitude and loves the kids. The buildings in the district are very outdated with the exception of Monfort Heights, but they hope to have something on the ballet for the future to build new schools. They have a very very good plan that would save money building new schools and rebuilding a few that are structurally sound and I hope we can get it passed! The district does great with what little funding the state actually provides so I can only imagine that they can do even better with new facilities that would take our kids into a bright future with an advantage in technology! Plus NWLS has open enrollment if you want to send you kid to a different school than the one your nearest.

Absolutely the best staff and principal you could ever find! Great parental involvement is appreciated and encouraged all the time. The staff all have great communication skills with both parents and students.

Our daughter started Kindergarten at Weigel 2009-2010 year. The teachers and all the staff are great with the kids. We really like the structure they have.

I went to Weigel many years ago and loved the education I was given. Now my son a 2nd grader is being molded in the same great way. Parents and teachers work together like family. The school has all kinds of fun events for parents and students. The principal treats the students as her own. All of the staff go well above expectations! Go wildcats!

In 2010-2011, the Ohio Department of Education used the Value-Added Measure to show how much growth students made on the Ohio Achievement Test since the last school year. The state expects that student test scores will show an average year's worth of growth compared to test scores from the previous year. About the tests


Ohio uses the Performance Index to provide an overall indication of how well students perform on its standardized tests each year. The Performance Index scores are based upon how well each student does on all tested subjects in grades 3 through 8 and 10. Schools and districts earn anywhere from 1.2 points for each student scoring at the advanced level to zero points for each untested student. The Performance Index ranges between 0 and 120, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
