We are a military family and move around a lot. We've considered ourselves to be VERY lucky ending up at this school (not that we didn't do a TON of research first!) As was stated by a previous reviewer, the principal is really wonderful and takes the time to talk to the students. The rest of the staff are amazing as well. The teachers here really work with the parents and they make it very easy to contact them with any questions or concerns you may have. As far as education is concerned, I'm constantly amazed by the things my daughter has learned in kindergarten and first grade. She loves school and is already reading way beyond her level. The PTA is very involved also and does a lot of wonderful things for the students and the school. We are moving again soon and I only hope that we find another school that we love as much as this one!
Excellent school, we have been thrilled with the level of education, although not as happy with the gifted teacher. I have a child in the gifted program and it is not up to par with the other schools in the district. The PTA is involved, and the principal and staff are extremely caring with the children. Our motto is We Are Family and it shows with the staff. The art teacher is phenominal as he has started an art club for after school. We have been very happy with this school and know my kids are receiving the excellent education that the state keeps grading us at.
Our mission is to inspire and support families to champion their children's education - at
school, at home and in their community. We are a national non-profit with offices and programs
in Oakland, Milwaukee, Washington D.C. and Indianapolis.
