I am thrilled with the education my 2 school-age daughters are receiving at Saint James School. The academics are rigorous and the teachers are top-notch. My daughters feel respected and liked by their teachers. My children are gathering all of the necessary knowledge they need to succeed in life and are also getting their religious and spiritual needs met as well. My daughters have many friends and enjoy the American Heritage Girls program, too. They find the specials classes especially satisfying computers, physical education, music, art, library, and Spanish!

When it comes to writing a review of this school I have nothing positive to offer here.

Out of all the catholic schools in the area, this is the one that I am most upset by. Lest having their students live as nice kids (which I would expect from a catholic school) St. James is just looking for the next award they can get.

I was quite disappointed with this school as a whole. They certainly have room for improvement. For starters, I think they could use a new bullying policy. Bullying is their number one issue and solving that alone would be a dramatic improvement.

I currently have two children at St. James School. I am very happy with the education that they are receiving. Both of my children seem very happy. Most teachers are very open to providing one on one interaction with the children. My children are excelling at the school and I think this has a lot to do with the atmosphere there and the learning environment that they provide. Mrs. Hinton, our current principal, brings an energy to the school that may have been lacking in years before. I highly recommend this school. I have heard from other parents that the education that they get here prepares them for the future so that they can excel in both high school and college.

My daughter is a graduate and my son is currently in 7th grade. This school has prepared my children exceptionally well for high school. The spiritual and moral compass of this school is evident every day, not to mention the caliber of academic instruction they receive. Any high school in the are can usually tell which kids came from St. James based on how well prepared they are when entering. The administration is the best it has been in years and I cannot be happier that I chose St. James for my children.

You're probably reading this review because you're considering sending your child here. Props to you for researching a school rather than sending your child to a place that your amount of info on is lacking. Being the wise parents that I assume you are, I hope you make the best decision by not sending your child here. St. James does not have an inclusive atmosphere and children feeling isolated is not out of the norm. I also felt that the school catered to the needs of only the highest of the class. I observed the school showing the most kindness to the students with parents on the PTA. For the reasons listed and many more, I am left with no choice but to say that St. James is not a "Great School."

St. James has been a wonderful environment for our children over the last seven years. It has provided them with the skills that they will need entering high school, and the community is always involved and willing to make the school a better place. We especially like the principal and how open and inclusive she is with children, parents and faculty. The emphasis on Catholic fundamentals has also been a positive aspect of the school. I would highly recommend St. James to any interested family.

St James of White Oak in Cincinnati, OH is a tremendous catholic school where children are given a chance to excel in academics, athletics and serving their community. The teachers and staff always make the children their number one priority. They are always well prepared for high school and beyond. They are taught good Christian values and are encouraged to live them on a daily basis.

This is a great school. My husband and I both graduated from St. James and we have 4 children. 1 that graduated and is in high school and 3 that are still at St. James. It was a very easy transition for my son into high school. St. James prepared him very well for high school. We never had any issues with any teachers. Everyone is very helpful and caring. St. James is a GREAT school.I would highly recommend this school to anyone. It is a great family involved school.

St. James has given my four children a strong foundation in academics and Christian values that they have been able to carry to high school and beyond. We moved from out of state into this community so our children could attend this school becuase of it's excellent reputation, and we could not be more pleased to be a part of this community. Services and programs are available for those children who need extra assistance, as well as accelerated language curriculums for those students who thrive with additional academic challenges. Also, junior high students are able to choose from several music/PE/computer classes, so they become more independent thinkers, as well as feed their interests. The staff and teachers are wonderful, and care deeply about the students and each other. Itt is a loving, safe, school for children to be the best they can be.

I have 2 recent graduates of St. James and one child still there, and I could not be happier with the education that my children received. I have one child diagnosed with a learning disability and he learned so much from this school and I feel like the teachers worked with me to get him all of the services that he needed. They genuinely care about the children and their Christian values are of the utmost importance. Top notch school!!

I'm a proud alumni who has had two children graduate from St. James and two currently attending. My children are at varying academic levels and St. James has always been able to provide the tools and resources to ensure the success of all four of my children. The communication has been open and all teachers have been very responsive over the years and openly offers positive suggestions. I admire the way St. James continues to stay on the leading edge of education and is not afraid to make changes when necessary. I admire the parent volunteers who are so compassionate about the school and provides energy throughout! Most importantly, I feel very blessed to have my children attend a Catholic school that instills the Catholic Faith and Education each and everyday! Thank you!

As a graduate and now parent, I cannot think of a better school for my kids. It challenges them academically, spiritually and morally. The teachers and staff expect the best from the students because they offer the best! Teachers are dedicated and caring and know all of my kids, making their school experience a very personal one. I am proud to say I am a St James alum and parent!

St. James has provided my 3 children with a fabulous education and so many fun memories! I'm a graduate from the 1980's as well and I'm so happy that my children love it as much as I did. Childhood, peer issues and educating kids at all levels can all be challenging. Life is never perfect. But St. James does a wonderful job making it the best it can be while managing the ups and downs of life. The teachers and administration have always been willing to meet with me and help my child through any challenges that he or she was having at the time. My high schooler continues to work hard and is succeeding in high school thanks to the strong foundation and faith the she learned at St. James. Our sincere gratitude....

St. James has been an awesome school for my two daughters! Both are doing very well! I attribute this to the caring teachers who have worked very hard to help each of them achieve success. I would recommend this school to any family who wants a caring community, good academics, and a strong commitment to developing the faith of the students.

I have 4 kids currently at St. James. They are being challenged and are all coming along academically quite nicely. The teachers are wonderful, and there is a refreshing amount of parent involvement. We've also enjoyed the extra-curricular activities available. It's a wonderful experience for our family!

I have had 2 children graduate from St. James and have 2 students currently enrolled. The school not only provides a very challenging curriculum that really gets the children ready for high school, but just as importantly, the school has a loving Christian atmosphere. The teachers are very dedicated and strive to keep christian values in all aspects of the day.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
