I am a parent of a child with apraxia, with this disorder comes many other disorders not just speech, he has been with St Rita School for going on 4 years he started there when he was 4 and could only speak 2 to 3 words now he speaks very well and signs, the teachers, staff other students are truley his other family. he is almost 7 and lives with his grandparents durning the week while school is in. So he can have the education needed. Its very hard but he has 3 familys us. my parents, and St Rita I am never afraid of him being treated diffrent or bad. This is the best school, His present teacher I call our DREAM CATCHER because she beleived in children with apraxia and we have dreams for our son and she has made them come true.

I as parnet of a deaf child [and] love this school. If it was not for St. Rita's I have no idea what I would have done. My child has been attending since he was 7 months old they have taught him so much and care about him so much that St. Rita's is another home for him. I feel that for a child to love his school and all the teachers their is something very special and thats what St. Rita's is a special place for special children to grow and learn.
