This School is Really Excellent School and It's Really Good my Sons Like This School Very Much

The principal has poor leadership skills. I do agree with the previous review that said teachers and the principal do not really care about the students, because I have experienced it with my child. The staff is never supportive of the students. The school's tactics to improving behavior is giving out tickets to good students. I think that sends the wrong message, it's saying that the child will get something for being good. My child asks me for something every time homework is completed. The academic programs are not challenging and set students back compared to other schools. Most of the teachers are poor communicators and disregard students' strengths. The ESL program is great if it had teachers that cared.

The academic programs are outstanding, yet it does not seem that teachers really care about the children. It is sad but some teachers take care of kids and get A's B's in their classes but yet other teachers who really just come there to teach without carrying makes students bring home C's and so forth. Music in this school i think has very good opportunities, sports on the other hand not. I believe parents should be involved all the time, but school doesnt care if parents show up at the meetings or not, which in turn makes one believe do they really want your opinion there? Overall it is a great school, but parents have to do much more work by themselves or on their own to track whats going on with their child.

In 2010-2011, the Ohio Department of Education used the Value-Added Measure to show how much growth students made on the Ohio Achievement Test since the last school year. The state expects that student test scores will show an average year's worth of growth compared to test scores from the previous year. Ohio's Value-Added Measure is not the same as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), a federal measure which uses different criteria.

About the tests


Ohio uses the Performance Index to provide an overall indication of how well students perform on its standardized tests each year. The Performance Index scores are based upon how well each student does on all tested subjects in grades 3 through 8 and 10. Schools and districts earn anywhere from 1.2 points for each student scoring at the advanced level to zero points for each untested student. The Performance Index ranges between 0 and 120, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
