One of my children was not able to attend preschool or Head Start. When his mother saw that he could now write his name by himself was amazed. Then he read book about fall to his parents that we were making in class. His mother was so excited she began to cry. The whole family is excited that they are learning so much at Horizon!

I chose to send my son to Horizon because of their academic programs, strong principal & excellent teachers. My son has loved science since birth. I decided to send him to Horizon Science Academy because I knew he would be challenged and encouraged to continue in science, math and technology. I love how the teachers & parents are encouraged to work together, so that not one child gets left behind. The principal & teachers go beyond what is expected. For example . teachers with their families meet students and their family at various activities. It brings us all together. I am very proud of my son s accomplishments and the teachers/principal at Horizon Science Academy

My son has gone through H*ll at this terrible institution. They don't care about the students and they lied about everything they told us before i enrolled him. They have sorry teachers , no scholarships , Feed the students uncooked lunches and are very sexist toward women. From a parent to a parent keep your child away from this school.

Horizon is a great school for the college minded student. It challenges and prepares you for what college has to offer. The teachers are excellent and the administration is dedicated to providing it's students with a top notch education. Students equate graduating from Horizon Science Academy with going to college.

We chose this school for our child over the public school, as it was not meeting her needs as an advanced student. She has been much happier at horizon due to being around children who behave much better than the children in the public school, as well as the more challenging curriculum. The teachers seem to care a great deal about the students, and they have certainly met my childs needs. I would recommend it to anyone seeking an alternative to an ailing public school. What was said above about the teacher being new out of college is not the case at all...perhaps it was when written, but the teachers I see there now are a good mix of older and younger, americans, whites, blacks, etc. It's a very inclusive school, and a great environment. It is also not unsafe as the student above said. They take discipline very seriously.

I am a teacher at Horizon Schools for a year. Horizons are charter schools that are really doing a great job all over the mid-west area. The administration and the staff are always warm and helpful. The staff is working sincerely professionally and by heart to have their kids go to a College. In my school in Cincinnati they have a 100% College Acceptance Rate which is an outstanding performance for an inner-city school.

We are a K-12 school that works very hard to meet the needs of every student. In addition we offer tutoring two days a week. The school has clubs that students can join.
