Teacher effectiveness: Very ineffective

Not only do the teachers have a bad attitude towards their students, the administration is a joke. As a former student of the class of 2009, I know first hand that most of the faculty is extremely biased and favor those who are more financially privileged above the rest . Instead of encouraging students to express their individuality as the person they are, Clinton-Massie strictly enforces that everyone be what they consider to be "normal" in their own eyes with little to no exception and I have even witnessed them take a student to court over their own personal religious beliefs which is against the law. Additionally, the children of those who have a higher financial status are almost completely immune to bad behavior in the eyes of the school therefore receiving a lesser punishment, and those with a lower financial status and are deemed socially different to Massie's standards are punished more harshly for their bad behavior which promotes favoritism towards certain students. The highest priority they have is to gain funding from the state in order to maintain social status and make their buildings unnecessarily large to hold said social status. Not only was a former treasurer caught redistributing school funds towards his extracurricular activity of choice, the school board does it too, without any repercussions at all. I would not recommend this school even in the slightest because not only will your child not get the proper attention they deserve to succeed, they will be treated as if they were completely ignorant by the teachers, and treated as an outcast by the teachers and whichever principals who are currently employed at this school.

I have to say, clinton massie is not all they say it is. They do have a good sports program. I will give them that. They call school off at the rumor of snow falling and then they wait until 20 minutes before school starts to let parents know there is no school. Today, my children were waiting for the bus and it was late. I was warming the car to take them when they decided to call it off. The roads are perfect. Another thing, if your child for some reason may get in trouble, don't expect to hear it from the school. They will not call. I called the next day after I found out about an altercation with my child and another student, they never returned my phone call. We are looking for another schol due to the lack of communication between the staff and parents.

my son has attended clinton massie school since the first grade, it has been a wonderful experience, good teachers, great music program, good administrators, and great sports. I do not think a person could ask for more, I only wish my school had been this excellent. Many people that move to our area try to move into this district and you can see why- they do some much for the kids and it is a healthy emviroment for all. I only wish for all the children everywhere they could have this good experience. judy

I'm not a parent, but a graduate of this school (Class of 2004!) and definitely proud of it! Even though this school district is quite small, it is definitely strong in all areas (academics, athletics, community). I've only been part of this school system for four years (grades 9-12), but I have come to love it here. The teachers, administration, staff, and students are truly there for you. Even though there may be some bumps here and there (which you'll find in any school), overall C-M is a great school and growing everyday.

As an alumni of C-M K-12!)I am excited that my own kids are getting the chance to experience the smaller school classroom attention and education. They even have some of the same teachers I had. The entire faculty is fantastic. The kids definitely come first to them. I chose to continue to live in the CM district so my kids could go to the best school in the area.

I graduated from this school in the year 2000. I loved how the teachers seemed to care about the students and would go the distance to help students who needed it. I really enjoyed my time at Clinton Massie. I went to the school since my 8th grade year. There is plenty of extra curricular activies to go to and you seem to be able to get along with everyone you meet.
