Wilbur Wright is a wonderful school. My child has done very well. There is communication between the parents and teachers. The teachers work hard to make sure all the kids are successful. My child has lots of friends and really likes his teachers. He is learning so much and hardly ever misses school.
I consider this school to follow under the unsatisfactory rating. Parent/ teacher conferences should be within hours that EVERY parent can come, as well as, school concerts. They do not send out any letters in the mail regarding what school supplies the children need, and they do not send any information regarding opening day until one week prior. When I have called the office in the past for dates and times of different events, I would never get a complete answer, or I would receive false information. This school is one of the reasons I have left the area. Wilbur Wright may have been one of the Cleveland schools that have been able to stay open, however, look at the schools that they were compared too. This school needs major work!
My children are learning so much in their technology (Computers) class it is unbelievable. they come home and show me what they have learned. I am learning power point, word processsing, etc. Kudos to that teacher!
my child was in a special ed class and i must say he learned the most from this school...great teaching skills!
The only good I have to say is, this year they have a great vice principal.
Any public school that allows children to get by with racially motivated violence with nothing more than a slap on the wrist (ten day suspension) shouldn't be in the business of educating children. America wants to know why those kids weren't expelled?
