I went to WFE from 1998-2002. It's, admittedly, not in the greatest neighborhood but it was a really great place to start out my education. I'm not sure why another reviewer felt a need to mention the lack of air conditioning since that's fairly common in a lot of other older schools.

I attended West Franklin from 1997-2003, and I love the place. Even today, eight years after I left the halls, the teachers still remember me and care for everyone. When I was there, each teacher dedicated all of their time to the students, and with a diverse group of students, it was a great learning experience for not only school, but for life. Now, I live in Grove City, and I miss the area, the people in that school made my first experiences in school worth remembering. 5/5 stars for sure

My daughter has attended WFE since kindergarden and is now entering the 3rd grade. She has excelled beyond her 3rd grade level. The principal and teaching staff are outstanding. They go over and above to make learning both successful and fun.

School for the kindergarden class is split between green and blue days. Two and three day gaps until my child goes back to class. No homework for the first month.

The teachers are great! Yes, it's an old building and a diverse group of students. We have 5 children, they have done well at WFE yet not really excelled. Security is a big concern these days and I hope the district takes every precaution to ensure the safety of all our (and your) precious children. There is no doubt a good education starts at the home front. Show them love and understanding and watch them flourish.

My son has attended WFE since kindergarten and has had a fabalous experience. He has excelled well beyond his current grade level of 4th. I feel if parents are not involved in their childs school no school will meet expectations or be successful. Getting your child ready for school and paying school fees does not qualify as being involved.Talk to your child they will inform you what is going on at school. Join your childs PTA voice your opinions and be heard, if you don't speak up nothing will ever be changed. WFE has always welcomed parent involvement it's up to you to make that choice. The success of any school doesn't fall only in the hands of the teachers, its also the responsibility of both the students and their parents. DO YOUR PART GET INVOLVED!!!

Have had 2 children in this school unfortunately due to lack of being able to self transport them myself. A very bad reputation for many years, several parents of children in my neighborhood have chosen to send their children to an alternative school because this school for one, does not teach the children on the level they need to be taught due to the fact that there are an overwhelming amount of disadvantaged and non-english speaking children or the parents don't speak english, so the average, english speaking children who are not at a disadvantage, are held back from their full potential. They also have no air conditioning and for the past 6 years, have never had any plans to ever get it. The children who are unfortunate enough to have classes on the second floor suffer greatly in the early and late part of the school year.
