My grandson just started kindergarten at this school in the fall of 2016. He is constantly getting injured. My daughter has gone at least twice to volunteer and she said everything in the kindergarten class is out of hand. When she first arrived, the students (kindergartners!!!) were hitting each other, throwing things, swearing, yelling at the teacher, etc. My grandson was sitting at table with other kids and had his hands over his hears, There was also a new teacher for kindergarten this academic year and she already left because she couldn't take it anymore. These kids fight and say the nastiest things. Some of the things he has picked up have been horrendous. I want to know how a school that is graded an "F" on EVERYTHING has remained open. My daughter would love to send him to another school for a chance to make it but she would have to supply transportation and with her work schedule she can't. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS SCHOOL! The language, fights, cursing, threats, and even actions from just the kindergartners alone in this school is ATROCIOUS!

Handles bullying effectively: Strongly disagree

My grandson is injured more than he should be. He has come home from school on several ocassions with a cut on his face, a bump and now today, a big knot.

Supports LD students: Strongly disagree

My grandson needs extra help but there is no where to ask for it or to really help. His speech and learning has not really changed except for the help he gets from his mom.

Effective school leaders: Strongly disagree

At this time, unless the new teacher assigned to a particular kindergarten class can get support, I would say there is no leadership.

Develops character: Strongly disagree

DEFINITELY NOT! When a child goes home with injuries at least once a week, there is something wrong. There is no respect and some of the things they have picked up on IN KINDERGARTEN is disgusting. The fights, lack of respect, threats, etc, are UNBELIEVABLE!

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly disagree

From my daughter going in to volunteer, the teacher tried to be effective in even a kindergarten class and could not get the help she needed and left already.

Amount of homework: Strongly disagree

When kindergartners even are so distracted by the fighting and carrying on that goes on in class, they need reminded to turn in their homework at least for a while until they catch on...especially when the original kindergartner teach left already because the atmosphere was too demanding and could not be fixed by her without the help of her principal.

My son bryan has been attending windsor academy since the beginning of the 08-09 school year and he is just flourishing. His vocabulary and reading skills have picked up dramatically in a matter of a few months. He comes home happy and excited to do his homework everyday. I feel that windsor provides a perfect start for a child to love learning for the rest of their lives. My son is in kindergarten and he also loves the extra things that windsor does such as fund raising and special events and field trips.

My daughter participated in the PreK program at Windsor Academy and I was very pleased with this program. I felt as though she was learning more than some schools teach in Kindergarten. The parent teacher relationship was one of true involvement with the teacher. I felt very comfortable with my daughter's safety at this school as they had their safety in mind. The quality of education provided by this program is one that I wouldn't trade for anything. I am looking to enroll all of my children in their PreK program to begin them on the right track to their education.
