I am beyond thankful for Columbus City school district for even opening such a wonderful well put together school. My 8th grade son has attended the school since the 6th grade. I have had no issues with the school, the goals and changes we have gone through to make the school and the kids successful. The school is rated effective and you see it in yours child's grades and intellect. The administrative staff and teaches and welcoming and great. The stand firm in the schools beliefs and strides. They teach the young scholars respect, responsibility, excellence, and how to conduct themselves as young men. The principal is the best I have met since I was a kid. He understands raising a young male child and understand the whole we live today. His presence at the school has such a good undeniable impact on not only the students but the teacher's and parent's as well. I think this school offers a large variety of opportunity to learn on many different levels including children with mental diseases. My 2nd son, who is now attending the school as a 6th grade with a 3.0GPA, has ADHD, ODD & Anxiety disorders. Overall, I am glad we made the choice to send our kids to CCSB!!!
DIsappointed with this school. They didn't know how to deal with my son who has been diagnosed with aspergers. The classrooms were chaotic and this is not just me saying it. I had my wife, myself and at least 2 other professionals that have witnessed the classrooms. They were out of control.
Can anyone tell me if this is a uniform school and what the required uniform is please?
I am pleased with this direction that this school is heading. The principal, the staff, and the scholars and representing a new era of change in these young men and how they are growing in the community. I have a 13 year old scholar who has been their for 2 years now and will be attending his third and final year as an eighth grader. He averages a 3.4gpa and had been able to maintain it. I will be sending my 11year old there for his sixth grade year. This school is focused on college readiness and understanding the minds of many young men of different background. I am impressed and i recommend anyone's young boy to enroll into one of the best middle school's in Ohio.
