I have heard that Dublin was the best for disabilities but it is to far for me to travel. I will be working in Pinkerington and dont wont to travel no more than 20-30 minutes to work
Hey, I joined this board just to answer your question. Anyway, have you heard of Summit Academy Schools. All of our sons attend. It is a school specifically set-up for children with ADD/ ADHD and Asperger's. The elementary/middle school is on the eastside, on 1850 Bostwick Dr. There is also a high school on 161. The phone # is 614-237-5497. Hope this helps.69731
Oakstone school in Westerville is great. My son was attending public school and was having problems with behavior in a traditional setting. He seemed to get overlooked and was bored with the class sizes of most Ohio public schools. Oakstone has been wonderful. In one year his grades went from D's to A's and B's. He is completeing work due to the involment of the staff and has made a ton of friends. The student to teacher ratio is very small and the number of kidds attending is very small. It is an inclusive school so there are kids that fall alonfg the ASD spectrum and there are kids with no disorder. this helps to create a model that helps the ASD kids learn "normal" social behavior while not feeling like they are being singled out.70862
If you haven't found the right place for your son yet, take a look at New Media Middle, a public charter school. For next year check out the Arts & College Preparatory Academy, a charter high school. Seriously. Check them out!73921
