Help! Elementary and middle school suggestions!

MrsHundley April 11, 2012

My family and I are moving back to OH so my husband can attend OSU. We have a child who will start 3rd grade in the fall and another who will start Kindergarten in the fall. Where should I be looking at homes that will give us the best elementary and middle schools (we will only live in the area for 4 years)? Must be a reasonable commute for my husband!

Dear Mrs. Hundley,

Please look at Clintonville Academy! We are an independent, private school, pre-kingergarten through eighth grade. We are located at 3916 Indianola Ave., just a few miles north of the OSU campus.

We have small classes, a wonderful, positive atmosphere, and our children are academically challenged and inspired.

Please look at our website: We would love to give you a tour so you can see firsthand how wonderful our school is.

Ask for Julie Liggett, our registrar.

Clintonville is a wonderful neighborhood, with lots of trees and charm.

Mrs. Hundley,

I wanted to let you know about a great elementary close to OSU by minutes. My husband and I have worked here, our son attended since second grade, and I have been a part of the PTA at Cranbrook Elementary for the past five years.
Many of our students have or had parents that attend/ed OSU and have been very happy with Cranbrook. It is a very diverse school with a wonderful group of staff, students, and parents! Please stop by with your children and visit to see why Cranbrook is a terrific school!! It is located at 908 Bricker Blvd. Columbus 43221, phone 614-365-5497. The principal is Cynthia Ball.

Our son is finishing his first year in the sixth grade at Ridgeview Middle School. This is the middle school for the area. It is located at 4241 Rudy Rd. Columbus 43214, phone 614-365-5506. The principal is Natalie James.

Both schools are in very quiet and well maintained neighborhoods. They were also rated as EXCELLENT Schools according to the Ohio Department of Education. You can also go to the Cranbrook website at or the Ridegeview M.S. website at

I hope that you and your family will see and understand why Cranbrook and Ridgeview are schools that will welcome your children into actively engaging environments.

Mrs. N
