Great school. The teacher stay in contact with parents and truly care about each individual child. We have been very satisfied with the school and the Vandalia School District.

As a former student here, the building needs some work, A/C is really needed during the hot summers, but the teachers were awesome, and still are according to my sister. I would recommend this school to most kids as it teaches some discipline and other life goals.

I think the posting in January, 2005 is about another school in the district as Murlin Heights has windows in every room and does not have air conditioning. The building houses students Pre K-4 and all students are instructed in classrooms. There are no trailers on the school grounds. There are lockers inside a very few rooms, but there are not lockers for the student population to use.

Adequate school, too many 'new grad' teachers, counselors are awesome, my mixed-race children at times said in not so many words that they felt out of place, strong parental presence, bottom line good teachers, great before and after program, office staff has an attitude, but, not worth your attention.

Need to communicate better with parents about everything and provide a safer system to picking up and dropping off children that are 'car riders'.
