This school was the best thing that happened to me when I was younger. The teachers and other staff are a group of people with the biggest hearts. They truly touched my life in a great way. I have gone back to visit and catch up with the... more

I have seen the children of this school grow and flourish. The kids are surrounded by people who really care and don't just shove them to the next level so they won't have to deal with them. The principal is energetic, fun and insightful. Kudos... more

About this school

In the primary grades we emphasize a strong foundation in mathematics and language arts (reading, spelling, language, and written composition). We recognize that excellence in these two areas will insure a student academically prepared for the other content areas in the middle and upper grades. Furthermore, an understanding of math concepts and a love of reading (acquired by lots of practice in different genres) will sustain these students as they prepare for life/work place challenges. We continue to stress basic concepts and state standards in grades 5-8, but in addition we challenge students in a variety of ways including science fair opportunities, speech and essay contests, off site field trips to enrich our science curriculum, and computer use in research and PowerPoint presentations.
