During a visit I witness the teacher wrestling on the ground w/several students. The students & teachers cursing each other out. Teacher using excessive force on students. I was told by admin.that my child was to receive all the services my child in order to be successful.(WHICH IS A JOKE) The school is suppose specialize in working with children w/behavior problem, but it was like a visit to the zoo. A child is unable to learn in a environment with yelling , screaming & fighting among the students & teachers. The principle's Attitude "The environment should not play a roll on how the child acts" non-caring point blank. What happen to the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND RULE! They talk a good game to get you to enroll your child beware parents it's a trap so I suggest you keep looking elsewhere!

My son is a returning student to Gardendale. When they first opened about 4 years ago, it was unorganized and things were out of control so I decided to move him to another school. When this did not work out, I had to return to Gardendale and to my surprise, things have changed for the better. The principal really turned things around after a learning curve, she does a very good in my opinion. The teachers seem very fair and try to prepare the students as best they can for a bright future.
