I'm very proud of the teachers and administration at Meadowdale High School. Because of them, I have a daughter graduating from college! Thank you Meadowdale and the wonderful IB Program.

I graduated from Meadowdale High School along with my two sibilings. Attending this school was a great experience for me. I would like to thank many of the teacher's at Meadowdale High School for providing a nurturing and educational environment. I strived academically at this school. I participated in extra-curricular activities and went on to various colleges and universities. I am living proof that you can become a success by attending Dayton Public Schools. Parents need to stop blaming others for their children's lack of academic progress in school. It is the parents responsibility to become more involved in their children's lives as well as communicating with school officials.

I graduated from Meadowdale High school in 2005 as the salutatorian. I think that Meadowdale is a good school and that you can never expect for any school to be perfect. I believe that all DPS schools have some points that they need to work on; however, it is not primarily up to the school but also to the parents and community as well. I think that if your child lives in the Dayton area and you want them to receive a great education, enroll them into the IB program at Meadowdale. The same problems that you have at Meadowdale will be the same, if not worse, at any other school whether it be DPS or not!!!

Great school. Some of the classes are a little wild, but it is a great school. Most of the teachers will talk to you about your child, some will even call you when you child is falling behind. School has an IB program in which the students can gain college credits and can receive an IB diplomia which is Internationally reconized. Great sports program also.

The teachers at this school have no control over their classes. These kids do what they want & say what they want. They curse at the teachers. I don't think any of the Dayton High Schools are good. The only high school I ever hear anything positive about is Stivers H.S. You can't blame it all on the teachers either. The teachers can contact parents & some just don't care. I just feel they tolerate too much & too little is being done with those students with some real problems. I feel more needs to be done about attendance. My daughter went to Patterson & Meadowdale. She was skipping like crazy. I was never notified when she wasn't in attendance. I got her report card, that's how I knew. I notified the school & let them know what was happening. Nothing was done & I still wasn't notified even though they knew her history. So I would do suprise pop in visits or call the school myself periodically & that finally solved that problem.
