I withdrew my child from this school. The teachers are not in control of their classrooms. Total chaos. One day I went to pick my son up early from this school and found my son in the classroom fighting on the floor with another boy. The teachers don't care. They're just there to collect a paycheck. Do NOT send your child to this school!! You will regret it.
There is a complete lack of discipline at Kiser. My K student has had more problems at Kiser involving staff and other students than I had my entire public school experience. My son will certainly NOT be attending Kiser next year.
As a parent with a child that has been diagnosed with ADHD, I think the school is off to a great start this year. I was impressed day one when my child's homeroom teacher took my child under her wing and made her feel comfortable being that it was a new school for her. One of her other teachers also phoned me later in the evening at home (Mr. Henry) to let me know how appreciative he was to have my child in his class. The Principal is very warm and encouraging and I don't have any regrets about changing my child's school to Kiser. I look forward to my child being at the school thru the 8th grade. Keep up the great work Kiser staff!
The school has improved greatly this year under new leadership. It is very hard to get parents to get invovled and attend meeting and after school programs.
I think if they spent less time yelling at the kids and more time embracing them, the test scores would improve and less children would be violent.
