Unruly student body. No discipline at all. Uncaring staff and teachers. Unsafe environment for the students.

There is a complete lack of discipline at Kiser. My K student has had more problems at Kiser involving staff and other students than I had my entire public school experience. My son will certainly NOT be attending Kiser next year.

The school has improved greatly this year under new leadership. It is very hard to get parents to get invovled and attend meeting and after school programs.

About this school

The Kiser staff believes that all students can learn and achieve success. We will always try to motivate students to achieve by helping them build positive attitudes, team spirit, and pride. We believe in providing a structured, safe, and disciplined program using a variety of strategies to meet individual needs in a caring and trusting environment. Our focus will always be on instruction, the acquisition of basic skills of reading, language arts, writing, and mathematics that will result in high student achievement. Achieving high academic standards, developing good decision-making skills, and practicing good study habits are characteristics that we want all of our students to obtain. We will always provide a quality, integrated, and sequential academic program emphasizing mastery of skills and concepts at the student's instructional level in reading, mathematics, oral and written communication, science and technology, social studies, and the arts. We respect and recognize the importance of shared decision-making with parents and our school community. We will diligently work toward maintaining open communication with them for the mutual benefit of our students. Learning and our students' success is our number one priority. We will continually encourage students to develop a sense of independence, self-discipline, and motivation. We will challenge them to assume increasing responsibility for life-long learning in a constantly changing world.
