ECHS is a good school for parents that want their students to feel a good connection with everyone around them. It is a sports driven school, and most of the teachers that are there also coach something or are involved in the sports in some way. The leadership for the school is a little lacking. The high school principal is rather lenient on anything that isn't threatening. The only thing that I have bad to say is they force the students to take a speech class, and say it's required for graduating by the state, when it isn't.

While it certainly doesn't have the most opportunities and options of all schools in Stark County, it is a wonderful place for parents who want their students to have a close relationship with their educators and for a close community. The lack of course options shouldn't deter someone (as courses are constantly being added) and the lack of opportunity only exists as far as you'll let it. I graduated last year and currently attend Columbia University, so if you try you can go anywhere you want!

School is sports driven. The school requires new teachers to coach in order to be a teacher. They hire on the basis of sports values not education values.

Teachers here are very biased. They have their favorites and do favor them. Work is not demanding, and makes it hard for most students to succeed in college.
