Ely is a wonderful school for students to feel safe in and to excel in their studies. The teachers are for the most part caring and willing to work with students and their parents. The current pricipal Dr. Dibee is a hands-on pricipal who gets to know the students by everyday interaction with them. He takes the time to get to know the kids and to listen to their problems. The one area that I would say is a problem is that the Ely Pride Awards are not given to students who just possibly biased. The same students seem to always have their names posted which make other good/well behaved students who are not awarded feel neglected. The progrma needs an overhaul.

The teachers at Ely are excellent. They love the kids and teaching. Parental involvement is great. Security is still an issue to be dealt with. No problems so far but in today's world security should be a priority. Security with parental accessability is needed.

My child is in kindergarten their. I help in the classroom. I am not pleased with the principals attitude towards parents. But the teachers are great and as for the school it's a nice place.
