As a former student, I am very grateful for the opportunity to have attended and graduated from this school. The teachers are caring, the spiritual emphasis is very good, and the school did an excellent job preparing me for my future in college and my post-college career. One specific example of this is the excellent grammar and writing skills taught at the school. It enabled me to test out of two English classes in college. I currently work at a professional services firm, and am baffled at how lacking some of my colleagues are in grammar and writing skills. I am very thankful for the quality education I received, and would recommend the school to anyone seeking a quality, biblically-based education for their children.

This school teaches does teach their kids to think for themselves because when you get into a situation where you aren't quite sure what to do, you can go back to what you remember being taught in school. As for controlling every aspect, it's not what it seems. It's just that they want their kids to succeed and they don't want the kids' lives ruined by drugs, alcohol, and immorality like many of the kids at public high schools. If public high schools had 1/2 as many rules as this school does, we would have a whole lot more kids accomplishing great things rather than wasting their lives on themselves.

My son went here a couple yrs ago. I thought it would be a great school, however I found out differently. I removed my son and went to another school. He was getting great grades at HCS, but at the other school he was behind and had to really study hard. They did an injustice to my son and thankfully was able to be remedied before it was too late.

I graduated from this school and I regret nothing. The teacher/student ratio is great. Students get more one on one time, and the devotion from teachers to the progress of each student. I love HCS and the teachers are the best. The best thing is that they help you get closer to the Lord, and insire you to want to do it through their example.
