Even with a new building, it's just the same school with the same teachers.

GAHS is not an ideal school. There's vast amounts of favoritism. If you're not a boy on the football team, or a girl on the track team, the activities you're involved in go unnoticed. Mock trial, band, and other extracurriculars only matter when there's some sort of scandal.

I went to school here. I hated it every day. The staff refused to do anything with students bullying each other because the bullies were from a certain family or social class. The 'assistant' principal is a joke, playing favorites with the students. Actually, most of the faculty is about favoritism. Only a few select teachers actually cared about their students (Mistah T and Mistah V!) I was extremely happy when I graduated because it meant that I would never have to step foot in that place again. I would never consider letting my children go to that school.

Although some of the teachers at GAHS are great, the scool's policy on 'Best of Class' is embarrassing. My sister, who had a 4.25 gpa(due to a.p and honors), was beaten out by a girl who had a 4.0(all easy classes) and took 2 academic classes her senior year. This town is so small that you have to be a native(we are not) to get anything, from beat of class to leads in the musicals. It's very sad.

'I would just like to say that some of the teachers at this school are not good. They never do one on one relations w/ their students. My children are doing well but are upset b/c their teachers ,some of them, aren't good at all. They have been learning but their teachers never get to the point or get distracted very easily. I ,though I will keep my child in this school, am dissapointed in this faculty.

My children have just started going to Gallia Academy this year and my son is doing so much better. Mr. Patterson is a good teacher.
