St. Monica school is more than a school to me, it is a family. The faculty, including the principal, are very involved in the students progress, achievements, and over all well-being. I couldn't be prouder of my childrens school and education. I rate it with four stars only because I feel no matter how good something is, there is always room for improvement.
St. Monica School is an excellent school. Children learn an exceptional amount more than children at other schools. But their biggest plus is maturity. I am currently(2009-2010) an 8th grader. I can honestly say that only a small portion of my grade has lack of maturity. However, as for fun.... there's not much of it. Of course schools aren't there for fun but as an eighth grader, i find none of the activities fun anymore, I would say that after 5th grade, nothing seems fun at this school. But for younger students, they have very fun activities and drives. Overall, I would recommend sending your child here.
I think that this school is great. It taught me about being a follower of jesus. The teachers let us do our homework when we have time to do it. There are also fundraisers which are super fun. We gave some food to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. There are bake sales. Our teachers teach us so many subjects, and towards the end of the year they teach us some things we will learn the following school year.
St. Monica's is a great school that helped me to get into a great high school. Without St. Monica's as my foundation for all learning. It taught me how to think for myself, become independent, and tuaght me discipline. The administration and teachers had great control over every class, so minimal disruption allowed for great learning. St. Monica's is a great environment for any child to grow up in, and I loved every minute of it. Thank you for a wonderful 9 years.
