The school is closing at the end of the school year. It is ashame. The children received an excellent christian education. The school had a low teacher/student ratio. The school is very diverse. It is about 45% miniority. It operated the 2005-2006 school year without a principal. This played a significant role in the school closing.
A small, tight-knitted school that is not filled with the frills of a large school in the suburbs. Teaches a good mixture of religion and advanced subjects for the certain grade level. My son has learned to read, write and understand math above his current second grade level, thanks to a blend of St. John's teachers and parental involvement. Teachers are well educated and have tenure. Discipline remains a problem, as there is no disciplinarian figure as of yet due to death of the long-time principal. Each class has one to two field trips a year. Safety in the school is very tight and has not experienced any problems in the last three years I have been involved with the school. Overall, tuition is affordable (better if a member of St. John Church) and your child will receive a good education in grades K-8.
Awsome school, my son and daughter attend and love it. Classes are small giving individualized attention. Teachers/Staff are great. This school has enrichened my childrens academeic and Christian education. I am very pleased.
My daughter has been a student at St John's for five years. Her education is only surpassed by the outstanding individual attention all students and their families receive by the wonderful faculty and staff.
