I love Jackson Middle and I am proud to be a student there. My 7th grade teachers were kind of harsh. Ihad Mrs. and Mr.Crouthamel and Mrs. Nash and Ms.Frederick. They were overall very nice and handled problems very well. I am trying out for the cheerleading squad in 8th grade and I aam hoping i can actually manage good grades this year.

Jackson is a great school. The facilities are well designed and built, but the principal and vice principal can be harsh from time to time.

The quality of the academic programs at this school is fair. I think it could be much better if the teachers were not evaluated so much on the scores their students get on the proficiency tests. Teachers have to gear their classes to preparing students for the proficiency tests rather than teaching about the general subject. There are numerous opportunities for extracurricular activities such as band, choir, orchestra, drama club, basketball, football, cheerleading, wrestling, school paper, and student government. Majority of parents are involved with the PTA and students participate in various fund raisers thru the school year. In 7th grade there is an overnight science camp and in 8th graden there is a great 4 day trip to Wahington DC. Both trips are optional and there are fees to participate. My son is in 8th grade and he has enjoyed going to Jackson.
