Teachers are activly involved in the children. The really do care. Exactly what you would expect from a small town family atmosphere. Athletics and Music are well supported within this community. Great place to raise a family.

The band is improving. Sports as always is a priority. Most of the coaches graduated from PH, which often poses problems. If you did not graduate from PH, it is hard to be accepted.

The industrial tech program, art, busines tech are excellent. The upper level math is also very good. Most of the science is good to very good. English has improved overall, but still some weak teachers. Foreign language needs much improvement or will cease to exist. Social studies and goverment classes fair to good as some teachers just putting in the time and picking up a check. Student activities beyond athletics are minimal. Choral program is strong, but insturmental has lacked any consistency to develop numbers. School is safe as there are only minimal discipline problems.
