The teachers there is top notch and my daughter loves it there and many friends
My child attended first grade and is continuing on to second this year. I have found the teachers to be pleasant, helpful and open to suggestions and input. The principal, Kathy Robbins, is supportive of her teachers and of the Booster Association. Ms. Robbins recently started a 'Stakeholders' group, soliciting advice and input from parents and teachers. I'm very actively involved in the Booster group and have volunteered to help teachers so last year I was at the school many times. Not once have I seen a teacher be rude or anything but supportive of the students there.
Hopewell needs some restructuring from the top down. In my opinion, many of the staff are not very caring with the children. At that age they need a friendly and loving environment. They will not get that at Hopewell. This school is run more like a boot camp than an elementary school. My oldest child is in Kindergarten. The more I talk with other parents, the more fearful I become that I still have so many years to deal with this school. There are a few nice, caring teachers, but few and far between.
