The high school has done a great job in general of educating me. I have had rigorous classes, met great friends, and have had the ability to compete for state championships in athletics. The students have a sense of brotherhood which has been great for me. The teachers are excellent, very few are even below average. I haven't known the High School before Mr. Murray was headmaster, and at times he doesn't seem to be doing the best job, but he has always been great to me and all of my friends. On a strategic level, he might err, but he has done a great job in being kind to the students. I'm eternally grateful for the education that I received.

This School is by far the best private school in all of northern Ohio. Every boy is prepared for college and life in general. The facilities are second to none, along with the teachers.

To reiterate the post of August 20, 2007: At one time US was one of the best of the best in the world in boys education. Mr. Stephen Murray has ushered in a consistent and dissapointing decline in the caliber of the school. His attitude inspires not only disguntlement amongst the faculty but also amongst the students. That said the school was very good to me for a number of years and the principles that the school stands for (or at least used to) resonate in my heart and mind. Students were treated as adults by the faculty and administration, given the ability to make decisions and work through the consequences of such in a productive and collaborative way. This is the way that boys learn, and that is what University School understood.

US was an inspirational and welcoming environment in the four years I've attended. The school's best asset is its teachers.

Perhaps this was once the best of the best in N.E. Ohio private schools, but it is definitely in decline. It hasn't been the same since Mr. Murray became headmaster. Discipline has become suspect, teachers are disgruntled and giving less effort, enrollment is declining.

This is a truly outstanding school that combines incredible academic programs with first-class facilites, sports and coaching, and music/art departments. The academic programs are among the most challenging in the state and headed up by brialliant instructors who really care about the kids and go the extra mile to help. The interscholastic sports programs are headed up by outstanding head coaches who, despite the focus of the school being on academic achievement, consistently have their teams trained and prepared to compete with the very best teams in the state. The music and performing arts opportunities at this schools are unmatched by any high school I've seen. The parents are a great resource, are very involved. Many are very successful in their own fields and this provides a nice network.
