I have not experienced problems with the Badger schools until my children entered middle school. It was here that I learned of the politics, the lack of academic opportunities, the wasted tax payers dollars on the new school, and a district that is so set in their ways, they will not listen to reason. Sports are limited too. It's difficult for the working parents to attend sports that have begun as early as 4:00 p.m. Changes need to be made.

My experience with Badger Middle School has been above average. All students are given the opportunity to excell and join extra curriculars from robotics teams to a variety of sports. The majority of the staff are approachable and willing to work with parents in order to help students to excell. My overall experience with this school has been very positive.

Gifted programs are limited. A select few get in and others whom the state says qualify are left out even while the state continues to question why they are not in gifted classes. What few sports opportunities are offered.. it is the select few, the familiar family names who play. This school is very controlled by local politics. Children's self confidence and self esteem are damaged because of these politics which are common in all schools but very much exagerated here. Overall, our experience at Joseph Badger Middle School has been a disappointment.
