Keystone is the best school for your child in these parts! Everyone raves about what an awesome school it is!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Keystone and believe it's a great place to learn. If you pursue what you want, you can get a lot out of this school. Kids who coast along and don't ask questions are bound to fail in school and in the real world. There are lots of opportunities for such a small school at Keystone. If you take advantage of them you will get the most out of Keystone. I have yet to be refused an answer to a question from a teacher. Most stay after school or will when asked to help you. The principal is supportive of his students and wants them to do great things as they go through the school. The counselors have helped me get involved in many programs and scholarships. The school is continuing to grow with programs as well.

As a current student a Keystone I'm very disturbed by what the majority of you have posted. My teachers are always there for me and anyone who needs help. All you have to do is ask, and they'll work it out so that you get the help you need. Our teachers are both educators and friends. So people, please don't listen to the reviews of 'former students', that's not how Keystone is now.

I think that almost everything everyone is saying couldn't be more wrong. The people writing these are obviously people who weren't very successful in high school. I am a student in Keystone right now, and I've been to two other schools before attending here (Avon Lake, and Westlake) and I'd have to say that at this school I feel like the teachers care more about the students than anything else. They challenge all their students greatly, and they have such a passion for teaching. As for the athletics overshadowing the arts, thats because the athletic instructors are more driven than the arts instructors are. Our coaches get us to fund raise and do other things every year that raises money for our teams. I have been in choir and can assure you that there is not as much motivation or drive to fund the programs. KEYSTONE ROCKS!

I was a student in the Keystone district for 11 years when I realized that my education was suffering. The majority of the teachers are only there for you during the day, as soon as school is over they are no where to be seen. As far as music and ect. the programs are fantastic although funding for the entire school is horrible. The athletics program overshadows all of the schools arts programs. The pta in this school is 'iffy'.

I attended KHS for one year, and decided it was so terrible that I needed to go back to my old high school. I disagree with whoever stated that 'the only way to fail is if you dont care about school' because I care greatly about school, and still I nearly failed 11th grade. At my previous high school I made A's and B's, but at KHS I made D's. I do agree with EVERY bit of info. the September 2004 review said. I dont think the teachers care too much about anything, I believe it is all about who you know and what sport you play, and the principals ARE too involved in 'busy work' to get anything done, plus lunch is $2.25 (and there's only ONE choice-there are more choices in prisons). I wouldn't advise this school to anyone even if it were the last on Earth.

I attended Keystone myself, and I believe that I was challenged. I was in honors English courses all four years, and was also in the 'fast track' math courses. I think that the only way someone could fail at Keystone is if they don't care about school at all, and in that case, they would fail anywhere. Every teacher I had was concerned about the grades I received, and were always conscious of the needs of my fellow students. I don't believe that the prior feedback was completely true about the school.

I attended this school and I was not impressed nor will I ever let my kids attend keystone. The elementary schools are very good and the middle schools are ok, but once your kids get into high school it's all about if you play sports(luckily I did) and who you know. The teachers do not challenge the students at all and the principals busy themselves with ignorant things when there are other problems that should be addressed.
