If you have any questions whatsoever whether or not LCA is the school for your child, take the time to meet with Maureen Arbeznik. Her wisdom, compassion, professionalism, and commitment to this school are unbelievable, and you will leave your meeting having complete confidence in her vision for both LCA and the future of Catholic education as we know it. She understands that in order to survive, we must be competitive: Parents who are paying for private education want excellent teaching practices (not just 'sit and get' lecturing, worksheets, etc.) and a positive, enriching environment. The fact that LCA has all of these things is a direct result of its' administration (truly the single most deciding factor as to the success of a school.) It is ultimately their vision which is put into motion, and it trickles down to every aspect of the school, from the staff, teaching practices used, curriculum, environment etc. The curriculum is rigorous, and rigor invites engagement. With over 600 students and increasing enrollment every year, people from all over Cleveland are taking notice. Once you see this school for your own eyes you surely won't make any other choice for your children.

2 yrs. ago, circumstances led me to visit LCA, & meet their administrative team. I was blown away by their obvious commitment to education, best teaching practices, building a strong curriculum, & making school climate a priority. Instead of a pastor as acting superintendent, LCA has a board comprised of community members who are committed to education. I couldn't believe Catholic education really existed like this--All of the compromises I thought I had to make I realized I didn't have to make at all! LCA caps classes at 25 (& adds another class if needed) & they offer a fabulous enrichment program for students who qualify. The atmosphere of this school is what I appreciate the most with an emphasis on respect & personal responsibility. Even though we live in a neighboring suburb, my children take the bus to & from school. I feel so blessed that we were led in the direction of LCA--my kids are so happy and love going to school. I know they would have done fine anywhere, but they are in such a good place, are challenged (which makes their school day fly by) & I am at peace knowing I can have complete confidence in the decisions that will be made on their behalf on a daily basis.

Lakewood Catholic Academy is an EXCELLENT school! Strong in academics, great extra curricular activities, a strong parent community and an amazing Principal and staff. The teachers are remarkable at every grade level and are vested in the students. The Principal is innovative and constantly striving to better the school. My kids love coming to school and are constantly challenged. We are fortunate to be a part of this school.

We are new to the school this year and couldn't be happier with LCA. As a teacher myself I was looking for a school for my own children that was truly commited to individualized education, character education and high academic standards. We found it and then some! The enrichment program is phenomenal---my kids are challenged and are actively engaged in their learning. It is so refreshing for them--they are truly enjoying their expereince there so much. The atmosphere is so positive---I just can't get over the commitment of the teachers and staff. This school is a gem for sure.

Lakewood Catholic Academy is a great Catholic school that accepts people of all faiths. It's on the lakefront in the city of Lakewood, just 12 minutes from downtown Cleveland. It has a very deep and broad curriculum and lots of extracurricular activities. It also has a before and after care program that's great for working parents. Check it out!

Our principal is open to trying new innovative educational initiatives to constantly improve - and the results speak for themselves. We came together from 3 schools and joined as 1 only 5 short years ago and we are now an anchor in the community. The families and the community are just down to earth and a wonderful place to send your kids.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
