West has a bad reputation that it doesn't deserve. My son started at West in third grade. He came from a school with an excellent report. I found West to be much more interested in making sure he was well educated. The after school tutoring that is offered helped him to learn the importance of a good education and allowed him to blossom into a hard working student. He was involved in band, music programs (put on by the music teacher for third to sixth grades), chess club, and morning flag duty. There are many other extracurricular activities that he could have done. The teachers are beyond excellent. They are wonderful. My son excelled in academic excellence because of thier dedication and hard work.
