This school is not a good school. There is very little emphasis on academics as there are very few subjects being offered. The school also does a poor job of preparing the students for higher education
I'm a parent that agrees to getting my child tested for a possible learning disalility because she is just getting push away instead of helping. some teachers are there to help my daughter. but the Principle doesn't want to help just pushes her away . The principle did this to my son also and after 3years of pushing and 2 years of summer school my child has an I.E.P. not because he is LAZY BUT BECAUSE HE HAS A LEARNING PROBLEM 'No thanks to LaBrae'
I'm a parents of the Labrae student. And a parent who does care about my child. I do get involved. If you want [the school] to be testing for a learning problem, they push you away. We need better teachers and better principal who care about the students and work as a team with the parents.
My daughter has attended Labrae schools from day one.She is now a senior. We have had some experiences but,I quickly stepped in as all parents should. My daughter and I have overall been pleased with the schools, teachers, her safety, and the education she has received.I would never have sent her to any other school than Labrae.
I have lived in Leavittsburg for the past 17 years and I feel that the school is not helping the students prepare for the real world. The teachers scream at the students and the principals are all about the ones that are not in need of help instead of helping the ones that need it. My oldest son was denied the chance of graduating, my youngest son was looked down on due to the way he dressed and his reading material. If you do not wish the children to read what they call not suited then I feel that it should be taken out of the schools.
This school is not a vary good school for parents to send their children
I love LaBrae schools. My kids have gone there from kindergarten. LaBrae might not be the best school on the planet, but they get the job done. LaBrae is very caring and a wonderful school system. I think if the parents would be more involved with activities they would see more about what their children do, but most LaBrae parents just don't care.
This is a great school district. They have a brand new state-of-the-art building, their education is good and they are always on towards the top the list on the ohio school report cards. The students excel in basketball and softball almost every year. The staff is friendly and caring. Great school.
I have two children in the LaBrae School system and I have found that the LaBrae teachers do not perscribe to the No Child Left Behind Theory. They tend to teach to the brightest in the class, ignoring the children who need special attention. The elementary school is not preparing the children for the middle school and high school classes they will need.
I am a graduate of LaBrae High School as well as seven brothers and two sisters. The new facility is nice. My son is a current student at the school as well as several of my nephews and nieces. I wish there were better lines of communication between the people running the school and the parents. It seems as if punishment is meted out on a whim depending who you are and what you look like. LaBrae has serious issues in certain areas that need to be addressed.
